The Christmas walk parade is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Its route starts at S. St. Asaph and Wolfe streets and ends at Market Square, located at King and Royal streets. The boat parade of lights includes festivities that start long before the daylight fades.

The weekend-long celebration also includes the already sold out and Taste of Scotland scotch tasting event on Friday. The Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade is produced by Visit Alexandria in partnership with Campagna Center and the City of Alexandria. The 2023 grand marshals are U.S. Rep. Don Beyer and Megan Beyer, who serves as Director of the Office of Art in Embassies at the U.S. Department of State Megan Beyer. Both live in Alexandria.
